HCI/CTI - Desktop Appearance

The following actions appear at the desktop during an HCI call request:

Initial Telephone State

Multiline Telephone

Standard Telephone

On hook and idle

The telephone enters Handsfree mode. As the call is dialed, progress tones are returned to the telephone and are heard through the telephone's speaker.

The call appears to the user as a maturing Callback. The source station is rung with Callback cadence. When the user goes off-hook, the destination digits are dialed.

Off-hook but not engaged in a call (dial tone heard)

The call is processed as if it was dialed by the user

The call is processed as if it was dialed by the user.

Engaged in a call

The current call is placed on consultation hold, and the new call is established.

The current call is placed on hold, and the new call is established.

Engaged in a call on a non-prime line

If the call request is for a line other than the one in use, and Auto-hold is programmed for the set, the current call is placed on Hold, and the new call is initiated on the other line. If Auto-hold is not programmed, then the current call is disconnected and the new call is initiated on the other line.
